Programmers

Increasing horsepower and torque is as simple as pushing a button with Hypertech's Power Programmer III! You simply plug the Power Programmer into the underdash diagnostic plug, answer a series of Yes/No questions, and the Power Programmer does the rest. The Power Programmer is much more than a tuning chip - it is a self-contained automotive tuning computer. When you connect the Power Programmer to your vehicle, its smart program instantly recognized your vehicle's powertrain by reading its Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The VIN contains specific information on the engine, transmission, and drivetrain, which the Power Programmer decodes before it downloads the Power Tuning program that is precisely tailored to your car or truck. The Power Programmer is incredibly powerful, but it is also incredibly easy to use. Reprogramming does not require any tools or knowledge of cars or even computers - plus you can return to OEM stock programming in just minutes. The Programmer does not void factory warranty and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

Installation: Plugs into diagnostic port below the dash next to the steering column. The programmer has a LCD display screen which will ask what parameters of the computer you want to change. No tools are required. Programming takes approximately 10 minutes and can be reprogrammed at any time.

Late model GM vehicles without removable chips require the use of the JET Power Control Module (PCM). The JET PCM provides the same type of Power Tuning as a JET chip and is the most sophisticated tuning device for late model GM vehicles available today. Other Accessories

The Translator + is a stand alone unit that attaches to a 3.8L V6 powered F-body. It's simple operation allows you to adjust the air fuel ratio and spark timing across the RPM band. Timing can be advanced or retarded up to 14 degrees. A variable retard based on RPM is also available  for NOS or Supercharged applications Timing can be advanced at the low end and then retarded at higher RPMS or it can be tailored in other ways to suite any needs. The air fuel ratio can also be tuned using the Translator to make different parts of the RPM bands richer or leaner. An MAF limiter is included to stop high MAF code on supercharged 3.8L V6 applications.

TPS voltage at Wide-Open Throttle (WOT) is a function of power enrichment (PE). If the voltage is below a certain point at WOT, the ECM will reduce the level of power enrichment and the engine will not perform to its potential. This device is completely transparent until 70% TPS, then it takes over and assures maximum TPS voltage for 100% Power Enrichment (PE) when you need it the most. Today's engines are built to run hotter-for reasons unrelated to performance! The higher temperatures mean less aggressive spark lead timing and lower advance curves or knock sensors, which retard timing at high engine loads to prevent detonation. If you run it hot, performance goes downhill. Stock cooling fans are set to activate at 215º F, too hot for high performance use. The easiest ways to optimize the performance of your car is to run it at a lower operating temperature. To combat high-operating temperatures, SLP Performance Parts developed an easy-to-install Fan Control Switch. This switch allows you to turn you car's electric coolant fans on manually, yet still retain stock fan operation. So, if you're sitting in traffic or at the track waiting in the staging lanes between rounds, you can click on your fans early to keep your engine operating efficiently and producing as much power as possible. This module plugs in between the air temperature sensor and its harness connector. It tells the PCM air to provide maximum spark advance (usually a 1 to 2 degree increase). Proper knock sensor and other engine sensor functions are not compromised. SLP suggests the use of premium grade fuel with this modification. A 5 to 7 horsepower increase is possible. This item works on stock or modified engines HOWEVER it is NOT for use with custom PCM calibrations with advance spark timing. NOT legal for use on pollution controlled motor vehicles.
