SLP's sub-frame connectors fit the 1993-2002 V6 and V8 Camaro and Firebird, except convertible models. Designed to tie the car's front and rear sub-frames together, the additional cross bracing increases chassis stiffness dramatically. These connectors are constructed of heavy-duty steel box tubing and significantly increase your car's performance and handling abilities. By reducing chassis flex, annoying T-top and dash rattles are minimized. Cars raced or auto-crossed have always been know to get flex creases in the rear quarter sheet metal; these sub-frame connectors can prevent this kind of damage. SLP's subframe connectors are available in two versions. One (Part #70802) is a weld-in design, which comes unfinished and must be painted after installation. The other (Part #70801) is an easy-to-install bolt-on version that uses existing chassis mounting points. No holes to drill! It comes with a gloss-black, powder coated finish. The frames are constructed of 2" X 2", 1" X 1" and 2" X 3" 14 gauge steel tube and 1/4" steel plate. Installation instructions are included. 

Our tubular SFCs run tight against the floor pan. There is absolutely NO ground clearance loss with our tubular SFCs. The SFCs are invisible when looking at the vehicle from the side, you have to literally lay on the ground to see them!

This design also allows for welding the mounting plates to the front and rear subframes and optionally you can weld them along the entire length of the SFC to the floor pan for optimum rigidity.

Constructed of 1.75" x .120" dom tubing and 3/16" laser cut mounting plates.

Edelbrock weld in sub-frame connectors are designed to help eliminate chassis flex during hard acceleration and hard cornering by tying the front and rear sub-frames together as well as reinforcing the transmission crossmember and floorpan of the vehicle. Made with 1-5/8" diameter .120" wall steel tubing, laser cut and formed end brackets that fit the contours of the sub-frame. All without reduced ground clearance.

Installation: Installation will take 3 to 4 hours and requires welding. Prior to welding you will be required to grind off the powder coating from mounting pads, pull back the carpet, and disconnect fuel lines.
