This choke, or suppression capability, keeps the EMI inside the wire where it cannot interfere with other electronics on your vehicle. The outer sleeve that surrounds the conductor assembly is just as impressive. A proprietary blend of silicone and synthetic material produce a sleeve that is highly resistant to high heat as well as abrasion and tears.

The Pro-Clamp will keep the plug wires in a tidy order and away from engine heat sources. Each Separator features secure grooves for each wire and a top bracket snaps into place to sandwich the wires in place. Each base has a hole for a retaining screw if desired and a tab that will help hold it in position.

Heli-Core wires feature a stainless steel conductor that is wound around a special glass core. The stainless conductor provides a low resistance path for high voltage to flow while keeping Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) to a minimum. Heli-Core Wires also prevent a phenomenon known as Inductive crossfire. When two wires are routed close to each other and happen to follow the firing order of the engine, the spark from one wire could be induced into the other wire. This would cause the other cylinder to ignite far advanced and will cause detonation. For example, the firing order of a small block Chevrolet is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Notice that cylinders 5 and 7 are next to each in both the firing order and the in their position in the block. If the spark from the number 5 plug wire is induced into the number 7 wire, a spark will occur in the cylinder causing detonation. Sooner or later engine damage will occur.
